Before the wedding day arrives — before the gown,
the ceremony, the vows — there is this.
A morning in Old San Juan. Just the two of you.
The city as your backdrop. And a love story
that deserves to be told before it even begins.
Amelia and Jadon chose Puerto Rico for their
pre-wedding session — and Old San Juan gave them
everything the island has to offer. History.
Drama. Romance. Light that photographers spend
their entire careers chasing.
They began inside Castillo San Cristóbal
one of the largest Spanish fortifications ever
built in the Americas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Within its ancient stone walls, beneath centuries-old
arched corridors that have witnessed the entire
history of Puerto Rico, Amelia and Jadon walked
hand in hand — unhurried, present, completely
absorbed in each other. The warm golden tones
of the weathered stone, the depth of the arches
stretching behind them, the wooden barrels lining
the corridor — it was like stepping into another
century. And their love looked completely at home there.
Old San Juan
Then came the walls of Old San Juan —
those ancient fortifications that have stood
against the Atlantic for five hundred years.
Standing at the edge of the city, with El Morro
rising dramatically in the distance and the
turquoise Caribbean stretching endlessly behind them,
Amelia and Jadon shared a kiss that stopped time.
Below them, the city moved. Above them, the sky
opened wide. And between them — everything.
La Catedral de San Juan Bautista — one of the
oldest churches in the Western Hemisphere and
the spiritual heart of Old San Juan — added
another layer of history and reverence to their
story. Its centuries-old facade and the quiet
dignity of Puerto Rico's most sacred space created
portraits of extraordinary depth and beauty.
Hotel El Convento
And then Hotel El Convento — one of the most
extraordinary addresses in all of Puerto Rico.
Originally built as a Carmelite convent in 1646
and lovingly restored into a boutique luxury hotel,
El Convento sits directly across from La Catedral
on Cristo Street — in the very heart of Old San Juan's
most romantic corridor. Its historic courtyard,
Spanish colonial architecture, and old-world elegance
make it one of the most sought-after wedding and
event venues in the Caribbean. For couples dreaming
of a wedding in Old San Juan — El Convento offers
ceremony, reception, and celebration spaces of
unmatched beauty and character, accommodating
intimate gatherings and grand celebrations alike.
For Amelia and Jadon, El Convento was the perfect
final setting for a session that had already moved
through centuries of Puerto Rican history —
a place where the past and the present exist together
in perfect, romantic harmony.
Their Old San Juan love story session is a reminder
of something we believe deeply at Raymond Vega
Photography + Cinema — that the moments before
your wedding day are just as worthy of being
preserved as the day itself. The anticipation.
The joy. The quiet certainty of two people who
know exactly where they are headed.

Old San Juan is the most romantic location in
the Caribbean for a pre-wedding session.
Castillo San Cristóbal, La Catedral, Hotel El Convento —
these are not just backdrops. They are witnesses
to your love story.
And we would be honored to be there
when yours begins.
